Effective philanthropy to create lasting change
for
Africa's children and youth
When the ELMA Philanthropies opened its doors in
2005 to serve the ELMA Group of Foundations, we
were motivated by the unique founding vision of
The ELMA Foundation: to improve the education,
health and quality of life of African children
and youth experiencing (or living with) the
damaging effects of poverty. Since then, the
Foundation has approved grants to scores of
organizations working to achieve these important
aims across southern Africa.
