We invest in organizations implementing these approaches:

  • Influence the scale-up of the highest-impact ante-natal, delivery, and post-natal care interventions
  • Support early breastfeeding as part of optimal infant and young child feeding
  • Upgrade facilities and systems to meet clinical service and referral standards

We measure these outcomes to assess our impact:

  • Lower neonatal mortality
  • Countries meet their need for effective obstetric and newborn care
  • More babies are born at term and above 2.5 kg
  • More mothers and infants receive early and complete antenatal and post-natal care
  • More deliveries with a skilled attendant
